二十多年前，我们开始做保健品生意，主打一跟中药有关产品，经过在华人区集中轰炸式短广告及informacial，几个月后产品销售直线上升，这时收到一台湾人的来信，说他吃我们的产品不舒服，还拿我们的产品去台湾实验室检测，说测出我们的产品含有至少5种西药和重金属，并附上一份几十页有些模糊的检验报告复印件，要求我们赔偿他10万美金，否则他会请律师告我们，并举报给FDA。结果一个月后，他的律师真给我们来了封信，说十天之内不答复就法庭见。其实，我们对自己的产品有信心，真金不怕火炼，立马给他的律师回了封信，并附上美国实验室做的有关我们产品原材料及成品分析报告(COA)，说我们产品经美国著名实验室检测，产品合格，绝对不含有任何西药及重金属成分。回复信传真及邮寄给原告律师，但没再收到对方回复，这事就不了了之。
十多年前我们收到一美国律师寄给我们的法庭文件，原来他们代表顾客起诉了在卖一种壮阳药的加州几十家公司，说没有效果，是虚假广告产品。我们公司因在网上销售这种产品，也成了被告之一。成了被告，我们找律师咨询，律师说先交两千押金，他可以代表我们跟对方交涉及出庭，具体费用按每小时$250算。在我们犹豫要不要请律师时，又收到对方律师来信，说只要$25000就可以和解，把我们的名字从被告中撤掉。我们当时回信说最多我们给他们$2000和解，并告诉他们，我们卖这个产品并没有任何违规违法行为，网站也只列了成份及服用方法，没有claim任何功效，告我们根本没有事实根据。这封信也没有收到对方回复。2年后跟一也在网上卖保健品的朋友聊天，才知道他也在那个被告名单中，他最后交了1万五和解了。那起案子大部分商家都交钱了事，有律师朋友分析说，没再来找你，是因为你同意的和解金太少，资料是公开的，怕影响他们跟其它商家的和解金额。估计这起案子，律师敲诈了至少几十万。
也是十多年前，我们收到法庭文件，又被告。原来，我们帮朋友在网上卖一抗氧化产品，因这产品名称及成分跟北卡一大型直销公司的产品相似，被那家公司告商标侵权，我们是被告之一。这次告不是在我们加州，而是在几千哩外的那家公司所在地北卡。有律师朋友建议，这种情况最好是在北卡当地请个律师应诉。正在为此事发愁时，第一被告即做这个产品的朋友说，他在当地已经请了律师，他的律师需要跟我们了解情况。他律师随后跟我们联系，要我们查一下，一共在北卡卖了多少产品，我们查了一下，这个产品在北卡一共才有2个订单，共3瓶，其中一个订单还是原告公司的律师为了取证订了一瓶产品，朋友本身及他的经销商在北卡也没卖多少这个产品。律师了解全貌后，告诉我们此案只有在北卡有管辖权，而我们的销售主要在加州，在北卡微不足道，决定要求法庭dismiss这起案子，但需要我们提供一个affidavit。后来对方也同意撤销诉讼，条件是朋友产品改名称。
这三起官司(第一起因没起诉还不算真正的官司)，我们并没有明显错误，可以说是被敲竹竿了。幸运的是，三起官司我们都没有破财却消灾了。在美国做生意这么多年，我们经历了至少十几起大小起诉的官司，让人感慨，你永远不知道，明天和意外官司哪个先来。

The shoes arent that bad for reps, but the tongue is short and the lace hole on the tongue is in the wrong position. Also the isnt a number code on the inside of the tongues like the real ones. They had a couple of glue stains, but you can get rid of them with acetone. I expected to come with a box but thats my fault for not looking into that. But personal wouldnt order from this batch again.
